With the dazzling array of wildlife in Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa located along the southwestern coast of Mexico, the opportunities for animals to come into contact with humans is high, specifically around urban areas and roads.  This increases the element of danger to wildlife posed by vehicular traffic, pollution, dogs, cats, and even public or private fencing.  Being vigilant and looking out for our animal neighbors is key to maintaining the wonderful diversity that combines to make this a special and unique place to live and visit.  When we work to help out all our animal neighbors it brings us in touch and closer to the natural world around us.
