Zanka Freediving Team + Titans = Competitors!

For the second year in a row I am excited to be participating in Campeonato Nacional Guerrero 2024, put on by Confédération Mondiale Des Activités Subaquatiques (CMAS).  I will be participating again as a member of the local Zihuatanejo competitors, the Zanka Freediving Team, and this year we are training and teaming up with a local swim club made up of young enthusiastic athletes, The Titans.  Together we will be competing in this national competition as representatives for the state of Guerrero team.  

We have started our daily training sessions which combine both Apnea and competitive swimming as we build towards the competition taking place at the Alberca Olimpica in Zihuatanejo from August 15th through the 19th.  Along with the breath holding events indicative of an Apnea competition, there will be open ocean distance swimming events.  It is a privilege to train with a new generation of athletes bridging the divide between competitive swimming and Apnea in the beautiful Mexican city of Zihuatanejo!
